Class Fee Structure

Fees are due in advance. Fees are £60 per month via regular Standing Order or cash. alternatively £180 by cheque per calendar quarter. There are no facilities to accept payment by card. There is a annual membership charge which includes British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA) indemnity insurance. This is currently set at £30 per student and provides £5 million cover. This fee is waived for the first three months tuition.

Tai Chi Chuan is a linear learning program, which builds each week into a powerful, disciplined, self cultivation tool(set). Having taught Tai Chi since the early 1990's, I have found that asking people to make a commitment, saves everyone time. Those that wish to just sample Tai Chi, to give it a try-out, often take places of those who are more keen. Whilst Mountain River wishes to encourage everyone who is able to take up Tai Chi; practically this must favour those who are prepared to commit themselves. Therefore Mountain River Tai Chi does not do taster sessions, instead actively encourages new students to commit for two rather than just one month.

For details of new beginners introductory offer, please see the beginners page.

For those who are unsure if Tai Chi and Mountain River Tai Chi specifically is right for them. Potential students may watch a Wednesday evening class between 8pm and 8:30pm at The Friendship Club in Chiswick.

By keeping the classes small (generally a dozen or so) ensures a fairer allotment of time and effort. Private tuition is also available, please see private tuition.
